Power BI- Developer

A Power BI developer should be aware of Power BI tool in and out. A Power BI developer will be responsible for the development and administration of BI tools along with complete knowledge of the BI system. The Power BI developer should be able to convert raw data into meaningful insights through interactive and easy-to-understand dashboards and reports. 

Power BI tool will be integrated with Databricks and SAP BW. Candidate has to establish the connectivity & prepare the data sets. The templates are readily available so that PBI developer can publish the report to stakeholder .

Some Power BI Roles and Responsibilities

• Strong Knowledge on Power BI to import data from various sources such as SQL Server, Azure SQL DB,
• Data cleansing by using power query in Power BI to Pivot and Un-pivot the data model.
• To Develop Power BI reports and dashboards from multiple data sources using data blending,
• To involve in troubleshooting, resolving and escalating data related issues and validating data to improve data quality.
• To implement Power BI gateway for different sources to match analysis criteria and modelling for Power pivot and Power view.
• Hands on experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization
• Installing and Configuring Enterprise Gateway and Personal Gateway in Power Bi Service
• Building and maintaining analysis service report models
• Using Power BI Desktop for developing dashboards, visual reports, and key performance indicator (KPI) scorecards
• Extracting various data sources and connecting, importing, and transforming data for Business Intelligence
• Implementing row-level security on data
• Should be capable of understanding the application security layer model
• Must be capable of handling project documentation and design methodology
• Adroit in scheduling, developing, and publishing Power BI reports as per requirements
• Proficient in creating Data Analysis Expression (DAX) queries in Power BI Desktop
• Should be capable of developing multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards
• Must be capable of understanding business requirements and data models while taking care of the sources
• Proficient in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis
• Implementing advanced-level calculations on datasets
• To develop custom reports and deployed them on server using Power BI
• SQL Server Analysis Services (Tabular Model), MS Excel etc.

Skills:
Good knowledge in reporting tools
Experience in data warehousing projects, data preparation, and data gateways.
Experiences with familiar Business Intelligence analytical tools, such as SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS.
Some Add on basic knowledge of JavaScript and SQL

Other Knowledge can be beneficial

• Some knowledge of secondary tools, such as SQL Data Warehouse, Azure, Visual Studio, PolyBase, etc can be neneficai.
• Adroit in integrating Power BI reports with other applications by applying embedded analytics, such as API automation or (SaaS) Power BI service
